Chinese young guitarist and composer, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music(CCOM). Kang Maomao has been learning guitar playing since childhood, specializing in various styles of guitar playing and composing, including pop, rock, shred, and world music. He is a young supernova of metal shred guitar in China. He is known for his speed and power, and is called "God Mao" by fans,making him more and more popular on Chinese internet. In 2023 he published his first shred guitar alum(“Westcity Machine”),which is highly praised by the experts.He has also been the guest of many famous overseas metal bands such as Suicide Silence, Thy Art Is murder, Within Destruction, etc.In 2019, he toured Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya with Deathpact and AsianTechnical Death Metal band Desecravity. In 2018 and 2019 Music China, he performed with Kobayashi (Shinichi Kobayashi), Ola Englund and other guitar masters. The Swedish national guitar master Yngwie Malmsteen once commented on this Chinese guitarist as "lightning speed, high-quality shred".
He also joined in a world music band"Music Goes over the World",and perfomaned many times with the band,such as the Closing Ceremony of World Music Week in CCOM, the special concert in Malaysia, the CCTV Fenghua Chinese Music program, etc.In 2022, the song "Silent Stairs" in his new album won the award of the original music by CCOM, and in August of 2023 he was invited to be the judge of theElectroacoustic group of Youth Pop Music competition,hosted by CCOM. During the activities he gave the Electric guitar lecture and master class.
